Entrance (display manager)

In computing, Entrance is a display manager for the X Window System designed with the Enlightenment window manager in mind. In other words, it's a program that lets you log in to a (probably Unix-based) computer.
It is made using the Enlightenment foundation libraries, an up and coming graphical toolkit written in C that makes good-looking applications viable for low-resource machines. In the screenshot to the right, for example, the analog clock really ticks, the big logo in the middle shines, the sessions list slides out cleanly from the central box, and the two buttons (for resetting and halting) also have an on-hover effect.
It is highly theme-able, and is capable of launching different X sessions from a list, as well as remembering users for auto-login. Customization is achieved by editing a database (/etc/entrance_config.db by default).
Entrance is the successor to a program called Elogin.
Its main competitors are KDM, the KDE Display Manager, GDM, the GNOME Display Manager and XDM, the default X Window System Display Manager.
Its chief developer is Ibukun Olumuyiwa ('xcomputerman').
