Entomophobia

Entomophobia (also known as Insectophobia) is the abnormal fear of or aversion to insects and similar arthropods, and even other "bugs", such as worms. Commonly, this condition might be referred to as the "Fear of insects or bugs". This condition causes a slight to severe emotional reaction, a form of anxiety or a panic attack. It is a particular case of specific phobias, all of which have basically the same causes (differing mostly in the source of phobia) and similar choices of treatments.

Among notable cases are apiphobia (fear of bees) and arachnophobia (fear of spiders).

In the Kim Possible episode "Roachie," Ron is scared of small bugs while Kim is scared of big bugs.

Nidhiki, a character in the Bionicle universe, was turned into an insectoid creature for "betraying" his master. Ironically, he was afraid of insects.

In the Animal Crossing series, the curator for the museum, Blathers, is afraid of insects, but nonetheless accepts donations of them.
