Enrique Crespo

Enrique Crespo ( born 1941 in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a trombonist and founding member of the German Brass ensemble.

In his home country he studied music and architecture in Montevideo, later also in Buenos Aires,
worked as principal trombonist, jazz soloist, arranger and bandleader for TV productions.
1967 studies at Berlin music school for trombone and composition.
1969 he became principal trombonist at Bamberg Symphony Orchestra,
1980 principal trombonist at Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart.

1974 he founded the German Brass Quintet together with other outstanding players of German top level orchestras:
Konradin Groth and Martin Kretzer, trumpets, Wolfgang Gaag, French Horn and Dieter Cichéwicz, Tuba.
1985 the group was extended to 10 musicians and became the most popular and successful professional Brass ensemble in Germany, produced more than 20 CD recordings and regularely tours around the world.
A large amount of music transcriptions of any style and musical era ( baroque, classical, jazz, folk and popular music from Latin and South America) for the 10 musicians of German Brass are arranged by him.
