Enrique Borja

Enrique David Borja García (born 30 December 1945) is a famous Mexican football (soccer) player.

Playing as a striker, he liked to chase the ball in order to score goals. He did not have very advanced football skills; instead, he waited for the right moment to surprise the opponent or to gain advantage of a defensive mistake. He played for Pumas UNAM and Club América. He was an icon within this club.

He was a top scorer of Mexican league in the season 1970-1971 with 24, in 1971-1972 with 26 ,and in 1972-1973 with 20 goals.

Borja is presently co-commentator for the American television network, Univision, for the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 tournament (June - July 2006), with Fernando Fiore, a veteran Univision sports commentator.
