[edit] Australian aboriginal languages
Perhaps this will help, but be careful about the info in it. It's far from done, and also is taken straight from Ethnologue. I'd like to get it presentable before putting it anywhere..
Actually, the other person and I are duplicating our effort... we should work together.. perhaps I'll contact that person too:

[edit] Wikiproject endangered languages (and language revitalization)
Hi Enlil Ninlil,
Thanks for your support of the nascent WikiProject endangered languages. I'm thinking of a startup date sometime near Christmas. It could be sooner, but I'll be busy until then.
I'm also thinking of attaching "and language revitalization" to the project. In an ideal world, there should be two projects: "WikiProject Endangered languages" and "WikiProject Language revitalization." However, I just don't believe there are enough committed contributors to support the latter topic as a free-standing project.
Your comments (positive and negative) are always sincerely welcomed: on this page, on my talk page, on the talk page of the "WikiProject" (which is still merely a userfied sandbox) -- wherever you think is most appropriate. Cheers--Ling.Nut 14:08, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please proof read your own edit!
Yes, we all make mistakes, but something is very easy to catch, if you just pay some more attention! For examples, your edit to Vietnamese đồng, the infobox attribute you add was "inage_title_2", and as a result, there is no caption. And your edit to Indonesian rupiah, it's ok to not put the spec if it is unknown, but why is there an extra ` after so many "?g"
Please.... preview and verify. It's not hard. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 19:54, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- And the Vietnamese đồng image in the infobox is clearly 500 đồng not 200 đồng!!! --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 19:56, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Melbourne meetup
Greetings, person who is listed as being interested in future meetups in Melbourne. The fourth meetup will be held on 18 December, at Lower House in Fed Square (in the Alfred Deaking building, Flinders Street end near the Atrium: map), starting from 7pm. We don't currently have a separate location for discussion beforehand, but there'll be plenty of time to talk wiki over dinner. --bainer (talk) 14:55, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Endangered languages
Hello Enlil Ninlil,
Well the Holidays are winding down. I'm cutting back/quitting my participation in other projects in order to concentrate on Wikipedia:WikiProject Endangered languages (temporarily at User:Ling.Nut/ELLR). I'm going to move the main page out of my userspace and into Wikipedia space very soon; probably within the next day or so.
The project is looking pretty bare-bones at present, but I think that it's best to launch it "warts and all" rather than to wait for it to be perfect (since nothing can ever be perfect).
Any and all help, comments, thoughts, etc. would be appreciated. As a WikiProject in Wikispace, it belongs to Wikipedia. I strongly invite and encourage any and all improvements that you see that you could offer.
Most of all, let's get the WikiProject trappings squared away so we can focus on the articles!
Best Regards, --Ling.Nut 21:45, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Citation
Yeah, that was good, just trying to get inline refs when new info pops up, incase it ever goes for GA or FA. :) Joe I 05:31, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Extra Citation?

- Hi there, just finished doing the rest of the Comm. 50 cent peices; Fifty cent coin (Australian). I was wondering if u could enter the mintage numbers like before. Also what other magical stats have u got in that book of yours? Say if i were to make a table showing a 50cent peice from every year do you have the numbers of how many were minted in each year? [edit] Hyderabad rupee
Hi,
Could you quickly explain why there's a contradiction on Hyderabad rupee on the talk page? Please don't get me wrong. I'd love to eradicate contradiction too. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 14:58, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:BocMop10Brown.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:BocMop10Brown.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:06, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Indian coingae
South Asia is a recent term used generally in political context. Its usage for historical articles in plain wrong. I believe you are confusing between India and Republic of India. The regions you mention (Eastern Afghanistan, Pakistan...) have been historically a part of India. Sri Lanka has been in Indian cultural sphere i blieve....Amey Aryan DaBrood© 05:08, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

There is a new proposal on naming conventions for fish being discussed at WikiProject Fishes. As a member of said project your feedback would be appreciated at the WikiProject Fishes talk page here. Cheers, David. MidgleyDJ 07:00, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fifth Melbourne meetup
The fifth meetup of Melbourne Wikipedians is being planned as a breakfast meeting in the city with Jimbo Wales (at a venue to be arranged) on Friday, 27 April 2007.
Jimbo has proposed breakfast as the one real window of opportunity during his tightly scheduled stay in Melbourne. Tbe precise time has to be sorted out with Jimbo, but the arrangements for the equivalent Adelaide meetup a few days before may give a good idea.
Feel free to edit the relevant page in any way that might be helpful. I feel like a bit of an interloper, not having attended previous meetups. If there's anything you can do to help, I'll be grateful. Please think about whether you'll be able to make it, assuming the arrangements are similar to those Adelaide is adopting (i.e. a block of time with people being fairly free to arrive when it suits them). Some indication on the page of your possible participation would be really helpful. Metamagician3000 06:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:500 dong.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:500 dong.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 08:43, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
