[edit] What supporting Transhumanism really means
To indicate that you support transhumanism is no different to indicating you support industrialisation, or modernisation. It is no more divisive than stating you believe in religion or not, and it is not inflammatory to make a simple statement that you can see benefit in mankind seeking its own evolution through resopnsible and ethical science.
I have placed this template in my user area as per the Wikipedia:German userbox solution as there are still in excess of 30 Wikipedians who still have it in their user pages and I disagree with the lack of process that was involved in having it deleted in the first place.
I believe that such a userbox does indeed add to the encyclopedic content of this website indirectly, by providing an opportunity for people to learn about a topic that may have been previously unknown to them. Is this not the reason why we have featured articles? Or "On this day"? Thus in the same philosophy and with the same spirit I see this userbox as being a method by which others may gain knowledge and understanding of new topics. That can't be a bad thing can it?
