[edit] Regarding The Undertaker

The birthdate has proper sources, and has been discussed between the regular editors of the page, and all the rest of the editors. Do not change it unless you have other sources or reasons that are good enough to change it. Wikipedia is for constructive edits, not your own opinion. Don't just come to Wikipedia to start problems, because thats what your on the verge of doing. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 (sup) (stalk me) 20:50, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

The only reason your not seeing it on the talk page is because you weren't for it. I am not dominating the page. I hardly ever edit ths article because of all the edit wars on it, which your starting. The Kennedy and John Cena matches are both week-by-week and are not at all important. Imaging if every match that the Undertaker had with a champion was on here. The article would be 10 times in size, and its fancruft. So, I will delete both references to the Kennedy and John Cena matches. I also don't know what offended you. Reverts are considered minor edits. You obviously haen't read the guide on how to edit Wikipedia. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 (sup) (stalk me) 21:13, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD

Hi there! I noticed an article of yours has been nominated for deletion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Artists' Studio). I made some comments there which I hope you find helpful, but I'd like to expand a bit. Firstly, please don't take the nomination personally -- new articles from new contributors often do get more scrutiny than anything else, which just means you got the short end of that stick. Secondly, the number one piece of advice I would give to anyone creating new articles is to make sure you have sources in the first version of the article you post -- if you don't have sources yet, think about saving anything you've written to a text file on your own hard drive and keeping it until you do have sources to put with it. That should help you avoid the general nastiness that is the Wikipedia deletion system (which you've now got firsthand experience with). Hope this helps, and happy editing! -- Jonel | Speak 04:10, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Magazine tag

re my adding of the magazine tag to the The Artists' Studio article. This is because the style of writing used in the article is more like one you might see in a local paper, a friendly supportive article, rather than a neutral encyclopaedic entry.

Some the references quoted seemed to be local bulletin boards and therefore can't really be counted as proper independent references. See WP:SPS in particular.

Some parts of the article are also dangerously close to spam. (You're not connected with the theatre in any way are you?)

Have a look at WP:MOS for some good pratical advice in restructuring and rewriting the article. Also have a look at articles on similar theatres elsewhere to get an idea of what you should include.

Making these changes will help ensure the page does not get deleted. You may find its better to clean up just parts of the article and delete the rest for the time being - you can then go back and work on the rest later.

Hope that helps. DrFrench 23:47, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
