From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Australia won the 1924-25 Ashes series against England, winning four test matches and losing one:
- 1st Test (Sydney) — Australia won by 193 runs - [1]
- 2nd Test (Melbourne) — Australia won by 81 runs - [2]
- 3rd Test (Adelaide) — Australia won by 11 runs - [3]
- 4th Test (Melbourne) — England won by an innings and 29 runs - [4]
- 5th Test (Sydney) — Australia won by 307 runs - [5]
The Sydney Test included a record 127 run tenth wicket partnership between Johnny Taylor and Arthur Mailey. The record is still Australia's best for that wicket.
