Engleman-Camurdrie syndrome is a rare, non-fatal bone disorder that limits muscle strength.

- John Belluso, writer for the CBS program "Ghost Whisperer", was bound to a wheel chair since the age of 13 because of the Engleman-Camurdrie syndrome. He died on February 10, 2006, at the age of 36. He was found in his New York City hotel room. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
