Engineering College Bikaner, popularly known as ECBikaner or ECB, is an autonomous institute of Govt. Of Rajasthan located in Bikaner. It is one of the premier institutions of Govt. of Rajasthan.

[edit] Aims and Objectives
The golden marubhumi of Bikaner is known for its love of soil and hard work. True to the image, this college aims to facilitate it with top-notch of technical education. We hope to take this institution at the acme of technical education especially considering the new campus building that will further enhance the facilities for students. The institute is setup to promote higher learning and research in the field of engineering. The academy’s objective is to setup a nucleus campus that should promote quality education in various disciplines of engineering to meet the ever-increasing demands of new millennium. Its major thrust is on achieving technical excellence through intensive classroom teaching; technical visits, expert lectures from eminent guest faculty, databases, elocutions, seminars, work shops, symposia, etc. Our aim is to provide platform for intensive research in pursuit of excellence. We also aim at multi-dimensional development of students to make them competent on the highest scale.

This academy of technical education took its foundation stone on the auspicious day of 10th November 2000. Since then, it is stretching its excellence towards greater heights by each passing time capsule. As in the first session, there were two branches viz., CSE and ECE filling total 120 seats, with the solidity of roots, in the session 2002-2003, the college took its first extension, with introduction of four new branches and intake increasing to 390. At present the college provides PG courses degree in MBA & MCA along with BE degree in Six Branches - CSE, ECE, EE, IT, ME & EIC with the Total intake of 390 Students.

[edit] Electronics & Communication Engineering
Department of Electronics & Communication was established in year 2000, with a handling capacity of 60 students, which has now grown up to 250 students. Presently it is runned by well qualified teaching faculty with technical staff. The vision of department is to make teaching and learning process a landmark in education. To achieve this department has organized various technical events, that is from hardware design contest to seminar and paper presentation programs in which both faculty and students have participated actively. In future the endeavor of department will be to continue these programs along with industrial visits and getting some live industrial projects for the students.
The department has great infrastructure which includes various specialized labs like Microwave lab, Digital lab, CAD lab, Comm. lab along with other Conventional labs which are also required. The department is having a feel of pride in providing their student an environment in which they are been taught with latest teaching aids i.e. Smart boards, Laptops, LCD projector, OHP to name a few
[edit] Computer Science and Engineering and Information Tehnology
The Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology Departments have been started with the prime objective of promoting teaching, research, development, and industrial consultancy in the frontier areas of Information Technology. This is expected to be a multidisciplinary endeavor in which faculty members from other Departments/Centers/Schools will also participate. The Dept. currently offers BE in IT and CSE.
The Dept is one of the most richly endowed with the state of the art Labs and equipments to support the latest technology as to be found in the whole region of Rajasthan. The labs are exclusively categorized for various streams like internet Lab, MBA Lab , MCA Lab , R&D Lab apart from other regular labs.
The m.c.a first batch is completed & their students r in various places in software industry.......some of r them r working in the M.N.C.

The greatest perspective for an illuminating future of this college is our new building. The construction is designed and executed on a lavish scale with sufficient diligence. It started on 18th December 2001. At present the first phase has been completed and the work for second phase is going on with great speed.
