Engin Atsür (born April 2, 1984 in Istanbul, Turkey), is a basketball player from Turkey who currently plays basketball at North Carolina State University. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds.[1]
Engin Atsür started playing basketball in the most successful Turkish club Efes Pilsen S.K. After one year in the Turkish Second League, he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, USA to study business administration at NC State. Engin attended high school at Saint-Benoit French High School.[1]
He is a starting senior guard for NC State. He is considered by coaches in the NCAA as one of the best players in the ACC.[2] He was named to the Collegeinsider.com Defensive All-America Team for his junior season.[3]
He is also a member of the Turkish national team, and figured in Turkey's squad that finished sixth in the 2006 FIBA World Championship held in Japan.[4]
