[edit] Synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Piper organizes an engagement party for Paige and Henry, but the wedding is put in jeopardy when the couple begins to get cold feet. Phoebe notices a strange man following her, and soon discovers that he is a Cupid. Meanwhile, a demon kidnaps Christy in order to lure the Charmed Ones into attacking the Triad, thus preventing them from taking over the Underworld.

[edit] Enemies

  • The Triad: A group of three high-level demons that direct some supernatural matters. They were quite high in the evil hierarchy. When they became aware of the existence of The Charmed Ones they began sending demons to destroy them, including the demon Belthazor. The members of the Triad appeared as human males, but some had blackened eyes. Each had the ability to commune directly with The Source, the power to throw energy balls, the ability to teleport, and the power to manifest athames at will. Though their membership was known to change, the Triad was only ever comprised of three demons at a time.

[edit] Allies

  • Cupid: A race of magical beings who inspire love in others.

[edit] Spells

  • To Call A Lost Witch: Mix the following in a silver mortar: a pinch of rosemary, a sprig of cypress, and a yarrow root. Grind with a pestle while chanting: Power of the witches rise, Course unseen across the skies. Come to us who call you near, Come to us and settle here Spill the spell caster's own blood into the mortar and continue chanting: Blood to blood, I summon thee. Blood to blood, return to me.

[edit] Trivia

  • The episode title is a play on words to the film Dazed and Confused.
  • The WB used the alternative title "A Charmed Wedding" for this episode.
  • Paige and Henry get married in this episode. This means that all four Charmed Ones have been married in order of descending age. Prue married the warlock Zile in the episode Bride and Gloom, Piper married Leo in the episode Just Harried, and Phoebe married two people: Cole in the episode Marry Go Round and Dex Lawson in the episode Rewitched. Later she will marry Coop in the series final episode.
  • Cupid was previously shown in the season two episode Heartbreak City, though played by another actor. This is because there are multiple Cupids.
  • This episode got a 2.6/4 in the Nielsen Ratings, one of this season's best ratings.
  • Christy is revealed to be working for the side of evil and must unite with her sister Billie to harness the Ultimate Power. In the episode Charmed and Dangerous the "Ultimate Power" is the Hollow.
  • The Charmed Ones vanquish two of the three Triad members in this episode.
  • The pentagrams on the Triad's robes seem to change positions throughout the episode. At the beginning the demon posing as a Triad has his pentagram rightside up. When the true Triad appears, theirs are inverted. However at the end when the surviving member appears to Christy, his is rightside up again. The direction of the pentagram could symbolize whether or not the member is currently part of the triad (since at the end there is no true Triad remaining), or it could simply be a wardrobe error. Or perhaps they're rightside up in the presence of Christy to convince her they are good?
  • When actor Ivan Sergei, who plays Henry, filmed this episode, was sick with the flu, making kissing him hard for Rose McGowan to do because she gets sick easily.
  • Although Paige's biological father Samuel Wilder is technically alive, he did not attend her sudden wedding. Aside from the Halliwells and the Jenkins, no other magical beings were present during the ceremony, making this the most normal wedding in the family.
  • In Charmed Again (Part 2) Paige is shown to be Catholic, however she and Henry are married by a female priest (which do not exist is Catholicism).
  • When Christy uses her Pyrokinesis to vanquish Ciril, the way the camera zooms in on her face is very similar to Prue's (majority of season one). This possibly goes on to support Brad Kern's statement of taking "the series out the way it began."[1]
  • This is the last time in season 8 Phoebe uses her martial arts skills
  • Before the Triad freezes time to talk to Christy, the closeup of Piper shows her mouth closed and just before time unfreezes her mouth is suddenly open.
