[edit] Slim version
Re: Aris Katsaris's page history comment: I'm sorry, but I think that looked rather ugly -- you have the headings properly aligned with the table, but the table contents itself are centered. Turning back. We needn't be that stingy with space.)
Why not simply uncenter the table contents, then? I kind of like the slimmer version myself. It fits the same amount of information into a smaller space, five lines instead of eight. Being stingy with space is a good thing, so long as you're not stingy with information. • Benc • 21:15, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I tend to agree with Benc, the reason I made the slimmer version was to remove the 3 extra heading lines while maintaining the information. THe slim version also makes the information more accessible to the quickly-scanning eye, because it does not contain excessive negative space. —siroχo 22:01, Aug 21, 2004 (UTC)
I wasn't that certain whether it'd look any better -- it's not just the alignment, it was also the background color that didn't "feel" very right to me... but I grant you I didn't make any stylistic tests to see how it'd look so I might have been hasty in my revert. Turn it slim again and I won't object, especially since you guys are in the majority. ;-) Aris Katsaris 22:15, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)
