Urotensin is only more potent than ET in certain species and has a lesser maximal response. Thus it is inapproprate to say that ET has been "dethroned". PMID 12381671

that's absolutely true, urotensin is not more potent than endothelin. For instance, urotensin-II does not induce any vasomotion of pial arteries in the rat.
