Endamehoni

Endamehoni is one of the 36 woredas in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Debubawi Zone, Endamehoni is bordered on the south by Ofla, on the west by the Amhara Region, on the north by Alaje, and on the east by Raya Azebo. Towns in Endamehoni include Maychew and Wedisemro.

Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 116,306, of whom 60,044 were males and 56,262 were females; 35,444 or 30.47% of its population are urban dwellers, which is greater than the Zone average of 29.1%. With an estimated area of 599.7 square kilometers, Endamehoni has an estimated population density of 193.9 people per square kilometer, which is greater than the Zone average of 133.18.[1]
