Emyr Humphreys

Emyr Humphreys (April 15, 1919 -) is a leading Welsh novelist, poet and author. He was born in Prestatyn and studied history at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. His first novel Little Kingdom was published in 1946. He won the Somerset Maugham Prize in 1953 for his novel Hear and Forgive.
