Emuscene

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Emuscene is a gaming and emulation website devoted to serving Macintosh users. Originally founded by a group of Windows emulator authors, the site was taken over by a subdomain site Mac.Emuscene.com in 2000. Since 2000 the site has been run by Ryan Niemann, and currently is the largest emulation news site with a focus on Mac gamers.

Major accomplishments by Emuscene include surpassing Emulation.net as the premier emulation on the Macintosh website, incorporating MacEmu.com in 2004, exclusively interviewing Richard Bannister, Gerrit Goosen, and Brad Oliver multiple times, and briefly working along with InsideMacGames.com.

The site has undergone five completely new designs. The most recent has featured daily features, weekly polls, and user-submitted news. The traffic visiting the site has doubled (or more) every year since it's opening in 2000.

The official opening of Emuscene was on Valentine's Day 2000 with two staff members.
