Why is the Pokémon being called both Emurit and Emirith throughout the page? Which is the correct romanization? Timekeeper 16:23, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What's up with the messed-up Japanese names in every Pokémon entry?

In the little info table on the right, the Japanese name should be the direct transliteration of the kana, not someone's idea of what they *think* the Japanese creator were trying to go for in English: Emuritto, not Emurit. And that goes for all pokémon articles: Myuu or Myū, not Mew; Myuutsuu or Myūtsū, not Mewtwo. In the Japanese name section for EVERY pokémon, the entry needs to be the same as in the Japanese name section of this article: List of Pokémon by name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ebil-jebus (talk • contribs) 12:56, 17 November 2006.

If any Pokemon has an English name, it is, *gasp* going to be listed in English because this is the *gasp* English Wikipedia. Just get a grip man. Sign your comments. Timekeeper 13:59, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

As I understand it, those names listed as Japanese in the infobox are supposed to be the official romanizations of the Japanese names - the ones Nintendo copyrights for the Pokémon.

So then what is the issue here? English names will be used where (justifiably) applicable....because this is the English Wikipedia page. Is Ebil saying that English names are being improperly applicated? Timekeeper 03:05, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
