[edit] The rap song and video
Empty in DC is a political satire rap parody of Eminem's "Without Me". The music video features dancing puppet versions of George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Saddam Hussein, Kim Jong-Il and other noted politicians.
The text of the song begins with: "We’ve created a monster Now Double-You wantsta destroy the whole world So he’ll profit. He’s succeeding. So let’s stop it, cuz Miss Liberty’s bleeding..." (Please note these lyrics may be copyrighted.)
[edit] Controversy
Initially posted on youtube shortly before the midterm elections in the fall of 2006, this parody came to the attention of national political activist group Code Pink for Peace (givepeaceavote.org), which included the piece in their national email newsletter.
'Empty in DC has fostered some debate and strong reactions from both sides of the political spectrum.
