Empacher (company name Bootswerft Empacher GmbH) is a manufacturer of boats. Originally building sailing yachts, it was founded by Willy Empacher in 1923 in Königsberg, East Prussia. In 1952 they started producing racing rowing shells, an enterprise that has become their main business today. They are currently based in Eberbach, Germany.

Empacher is world renowned for the quality of its rowing shells, and has traditionally been considered the best manufacturer in the world. The company's boats have an impressive number of international rowing wins, with about 60% using them in the World Championships and Olympic Games. 55% of the medals at the 2004 Olympics were won in Empachers.

Boats built by Empacher are easily recognisable by their distinctly unique pale yellow colouring and black trim, as such the colour has become rather a symbol of quality within rowing as a sport.
