Rory and Emily makes plans to go antiquing in Stars Hollow. Emily has a good time: she finds some good pieces at Kim's Antiques, goes on a walking tour of Stars Hollow, and eats lunch with Rory at Teriyaki Joe's. However, at the inn Rory shows Emily the old toolshed where Lorelai and Rory lived when Rory was a baby. Emily is horrified to realize that her daughter ran away from their nice house to live in a shed. She decides to set up a room in their house for Rory, complete with sunflowers and boy band posters. When she shows the room to Rory and Lorelai, Emily and Lorelai wind up arguing once again about Lorelai's running away.
Rachel shows Lorelai photographs of the old Dragonfly Inn, and the two of them go out to look at the property. In the process, she and Rachel become friends. Rachel confides that she is afraid that Luke will never be able to trust her, so Lorelai tries to convince Luke that he should give Rachel a chance. The talk seems to work; Rachel tells Lorelai that Luke gave her a drawer and a set of keys.
