Born on 1975-02-07, Emily Loizeau is a French author, composer and singer. Her debut album was released in 2006, entitled L'autre bout du monde (The Other End of the World).

Emily began to learn piano when she was 5, and after studying classical music for many years, she dedicated three years to theatre, assisting composer and stage manager Georges Aperghis among other things.
At the end of 2001, Emily decided to dedicate her life to singing.
Emily has an English mother and writes in many languages. She cites Georges Brassens, Bob Dylan and The Beatles as her inspiration. Besides Bach and Franz Schubert, she has also loved Renaud since age 11, and has been influenced by Tom Waits, Nina Simone and Randy Newman.
