Emanuel Benito Rivas is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on March 17, 1983, in the city of Quilmes in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Iraklis of the Super League in Greece, he joined the club in 2006 from Vitória FC.
Rivas started his career in 2001 with Independiente in the Primera Division Argentina. He was part of the Independiente squad that won the Apertura 2002 championship, ending an 7 year drought without a single title.
In 2004 he moved to Avellaneda's 3rd club; Arsenal de Sarandí but after only one season with Arsenal he was signed by Vitória FC of Portugal.
