[edit] Regarding edits made to Mario Party 8
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Em0909153! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule img[0-9]*\.imageshack\.us/img[0-9]*/.*\.jpg, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. [edit] Re: Edits to Mario Party 8
Hey, just wanted to let you know that I also have that issue of Nintendo Power, and it was printed up and sent out long before the release date change was made. We are not just making up the release date change. --12.206.1.97 02:37, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your image uploads
Please don't mark pictures you didn't take as {{pd-self}} - the tag is for pictures you took yourself and own the copyright to.
And your images will be deleted soon, as Wikipedia does not accept copyrighted images (pretty much every picture you find on the web is copyrighted) of living people. Thanks.--Mosmof 16:43, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use problem with Image:DavidNewhan.jpg
I notice you uploaded the image Image:DavidNewhan.jpg with the {{logo}} fair use image tag. However, it appears that this tag is totally unrelated to the content of the image, and as a result it may qualify for speedy deletion. Image:DavidNewhan.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why Image:DavidNewhan.jpg can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the {{logo}} tag that you have placed on it with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{fairusein|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can reupload it but please ensure you place the correct tag on it. However, you must not remove the speedy deletion notice. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Mosmof 19:33, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Billywagner.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Billywagner.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytny (talk) 20:21, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:GuMota.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:GuMota.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:08, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use
Fair use doesn't apply in the case of promo photos of baseball players, because by Wikipedia policy, they violate WP:FUC#1 - because these players are still alive and appear in public, and are regularly photographed by the press and fans, photographs of them are considered reasonably replaceable. So again, please stop uploading the pictures. Mosmof 21:10, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not trying to harass you, and if that was the impression you got, then you can be assured that I'm only trying to advise you not to waste your time uploading copyrighted photographs because they will be removed from Wikipedia before long (not by me, but administrators). And if there are "hundreds" of others, then, feel free to point them out - my guess is that they either meet fair use criteria or they will (or should) be removed. You should familiarize yourself with WP:IUP before you spend any more time uploading pictures. Mosmof 21:28, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, Wikipedia advises against copyright paranoia, but mlb.com is pretty clear about the copyright on the images:
Associated Press ("AP") text, photo, graphic, audio and/or video material (collectively, the "AP Materials") shall not be published, broadcast, rewritten for broadcast or publication or redistributed directly or indirectly in any medium. Neither these AP Materials nor any portion thereof may be stored in a computer except for personal and non-commercial use.
- And Wikipedia policy's pretty clear about not using any copyrighted pictures for articles about living people. Oh, and speaking of things Wikipedia advises against, I'm pretty sure calling someone a "loser" isn't WP:CIVIL.
- Yes, Wikipedia advises against copyright paranoia, but mlb.com is pretty clear about the copyright on the images:

- No, I'm not an admin and I'm just a regular users, but regular users are asked to point out copyright infringements to admins. Look, I'd rather not have people getting pissed at me, but those photos are going to be deleted sooner or later, so it's better that you learn about Wikipedia's image usage policy now. --Mosmof 05:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Administrators' noticeboard
Hi, Em0909153. Mosmof has posted a notice concerning you at the administrators' noticeboard, feel free to weigh in here if you wish. Meanwhile, please don't post any further attacks on Mosmof, who is merely applying and trying to explain Wikipedia's image policy to you. Attacking him anonymously from your IP, as here is not better than doing it from your account as here, quite the opposite. I understand that it's frustrating to have your uploads questioned, but please try to remain civil about it. Mosmof isn't harassing you. But you're flaming him. Bishonen | talk 10:57, 18 February 2007 (UTC).
