[edit] Welcome
Welcome to Wikipedia, the greatest encyclopedia on Earth! You seem to be off to a good start. Hopefully you will soon join the vast army of Wikipediholics! You may wish to review the welcome page, tutorial, and stylebook, as well as the avoiding common mistakes and Wikipedia is not pages. You may also want to check out Wikipedia:Merge, for information about merging, renaming and moving pages. The Wikipedia directory is also quite useful. In addition, you might want to add yourself to the new user log; if you made any edits before getting an account, you may wish to assign those to your username.
By the way, an important tip: To sign comments on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments.

[edit] Russia art
Hi Elvarg. I just wanted to say that I thought your solution to redirect "Russia art" to Russian culture was a excellent way to deal with nonsense. (I may steal your idea from time to time...:)Cheers. --Bookandcoffee 20:32, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Logos
I'm not good at logo making, no. But I think a sign that implies that people should stop on a freely editable page is not the right one. Generally, I don't really see a lot of need to add to the clutter at the top of very many articles with images. They don't actually convey any more information than is already in the text. Someone else added images recently to a number of popular tags; I don't think they lasted the day. That's just my personal opinion, though. With unobtrusive logos that are well designed, you may be able to make them stick. -Splashtalk 22:32, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to help you create a few, should you desire it. My main gripe is the text is quite pixelated. Replacing it with a higher quality image would probably be better, or as Splash said, leave the templates to be as uncluttered as possible. I find the boilerplate messages ugly as-is, and don't think that adding more to them will help anything, though I wouldn't be opposed to a nicely designed image or something similar. -Mysekurity(have you seen this?) 03:12, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Sandbox warning
Hello, Elvarg, welcome to Wikipedia. I see you've been editing in the sandbox. That's great - the sandbox is an excellent area to practice your editing skills, but the heading at the top must not be removed.
The sandbox has a special header at the top {{Please leave this line alone (sandbox heading)}}, which is an important notice to new users. Please do not remove this line. Do feel free to edit and type anything below the header on the page, though!
Also, although the sandbox is a practice area, edits in the sandbox must still conform to the good behavior rules that apply to the rest of Wikipedia. That means no behavior which is offensive or irritating to the majority of Wikipedia users. No insulting comments should ever be placed in the sandbox.
By the way, this is your user talk page where any other Wikipedia user can leave you messages. Happy editing! Thanks, Georgia guy 02:37, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
Response to what you wrote on my talk page: just do the same thing; only don't eliminate the sandbox header. Georgia guy 02:42, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright Violation
I noticed that you had uploaded Image:Wiki5.png as GFDL. It appears to be from a LGPL source however. I have remarked it as LGPL, as it also appears unaltered. Linuxerist E/L/T 18:20, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vote on sidebar
I started a vote on the sidebar to come to a conclusion. Electionworld Talk? 06:45, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
