Elsenham
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Elsenham is a small village in north west Essex in southern England. Its neighbouring towns include Bishop's Stortford, Saffron Walden, and Stansted Mountfitchet. The village is also approximately 3 miles from Stansted Airport, and has been the centre of attention as it has become under threat in the last few years over the prospect of a highly publicised expansion of the airport.
The village is served by a railway station and has one pub called The Crown. A pub called the Robin Hood closed in the late 80's. Until recently it had a fish and chip shop which was previously a butcher and is now an Indian takeaway.
