Eloor is a census town located 17 km north of the city of Kochi in Paravur taluk Ernakulam district in Kerala, India. It is an island of 14.21 km² and is the largest industrial belt in Kerala.
There are more than 247 industries of different kinds e.g., Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT), Travancore Cochin Chemicals, Indian Rare Earths, Hindustan Insecticides Limited and many others manufacturing a range of products like chemical-petrochemical products , pesticides, rare earth elements, rubber processing chemicals, fertilizers, zinc/chrome compounds and leather products.[citation needed]

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Eloor had a population of 30,092. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Eloor has an average literacy rate of 84%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 86%, and female literacy is 81%. In Eloor, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
