Hi Elmo!!!
[edit] Dinosaurs
Hi Elmo,
Why are you adding images of dinosaurs like that? You've added a picture of Archaeopteryx to Wellnhoferia, Hagryphus to Chirostenotes, etc. Do you have a reason for adding the wrong images to so many pages? You're also adding taxoboxes to dinosaurs that have not yet been fully described. As far as I know, we don't do that.
I will leave a message on the talk page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs to confirm this, but for now, I've reverted most of your edits. Firsfron of Ronchester 22:46, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Firsfron of Ronchester 00:01, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Many of the edits made by this account are questionable. Particularly edits like this, which are poorly spelled and factually inaccurate. There are many other examples of these types of edits from this account.
An essential part of contributing to this encyclopedia is good communication with other users. The user of this account has not made any reasonable attempt to communicate the reason for these edits, despite the best efforts of several users to try to communicate with the user of this account.
For at least six months, explanations for these sorts of actions have not been forthcoming from the account.
It is important that other users know that this account is meant for constructive or encyclopedic editing, and it would help if you could indicate your editing goals on your talk page (here) so others can identify with the account's intentions.
Until you can respond here, explaining the reason for these sorts of edits, I have indefinitely blocked this account. The indefinite block is temporary so long as an adequate response is given. Firsfron of Ronchester 17:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC) The reason I HAVE MADE NEW PAGES WAS BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE DINOSAUR PAGES FROM THE DINOSAURICON SO WE CAN KNOW MORE ABOUT DINOSAURS aND THERE ARE STILL ARTICLES THAT ARE NOT CREATED LIKE THIS LIKE QUERCYPSITTA. The REASON THEY ARE IN THE COELUROSAUR CATEGORY IS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL CLOSE RELATIVES OF aRCHAEOPTERYX.

- Hi Elmo,
- Thanks for your note. Please remember not to use ALLCAPS when writing. This is an encyclopedia, so we don't need everything SHOUTED at us. Since this is an encyclopedia, we want to make it look as professional as possible. That includes using lowercase (small letters) when they are needed, and uppercase (big letters) only at the beginning of the sentence, when we write names, etc.
- Everything we write on Wikipedia has to have a reference. You should always include a book reference or web site link when you are writing. The reference goes at the end of the article, right before the categories. For example, a book reference is:
-
- Carpenter, K. 2004. Redescription of Ankylosaurus magniventris Brown 1908 (Ankylosauridae) from the Upper Cretaceous of the Western Interior of North America. Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences 41: 961–986.
- and a web reference looks something like:
- (Try to find the most scientific-looking site to use for your reference).
- The dinosaur you're writing about has to have an article that looks neat and professional, and it has to make sense. The things you wrote about Libycosaurus, for example, were not accurate, and that caused people to have to re-write your article. You don't want to cause more work than you're helping, do you?

- Hi Elmo,
- Thanks for responding. What you're doing now, responding to a talk page comment, is very important. Communication is key on Wikipedia. When someone writes to you, asking why you've written something, it is important that you always respond.
- You ask about signing up for projects on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs page. That isn't necessary. You don't need to sign up for any of the side projects to be able to work within the project. The problem is that I am not sure I should unblock you. Many of the articles you are writing are of poor quality. They need references, they need to look neat, they need to be properly spelled, and they need to be factually accurate, without being copied from another web site.
- If I were to unblock you, I would need a promise from you that you would work to improve your editing skills by spelling things properly, including a reference (where you got your information from, either a web site or a book), and include only factual material in the article you're writing. Could you do that? I cannot unblock someone who spells poorly, doesn't include any references, copies text from other sites, or writes nonsense into articles. Firsfron of Ronchester 21:35, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, that's right, Elmo. Each article your write has to include proof: a book or web-site. You can look at pages like Allosaurus for examples on how to write. I will unblock you if you think you can write articles that are properly spelled, include references, and look neat with factual information. Can you do that? Firsfron of Ronchester 21:53, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
I think I can do that--408.965.879.065.765.216.519.296.848.4 21:54, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, Elmo. I have unblocked you. You are free to edit articles again. Please remember the things I've told you: the articles you write must be properly spelled, must include references, have to be factually accurate, and should resemble something like the article on Allosaurus. I will be watching. Firsfron of Ronchester 22:04, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- How come I go to every page it says I am bloced--408.965.879.065.765.216.519.296.848.4 22:12, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Can you copy and paste the exact message you are getting? You might have been caught in an autoblock. Firsfron of Ronchester 22:24, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Dinobird
[edit] Dinobird
A tag has been placed on Dinobird, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to provide more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:Dinobird. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such material.exolon 14:00, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- There is an article Dinosaur-bird connection which is going off nicely. BTW could you please reference Valenticarbo? The supposed reference consists of the sentence, "No data on this taxon could be found. It may be awaiting addition to the database." Dysmorodrepanis 23:16, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Allosaurus
Not sure what you were trying to do to the Allosaurus page but it was a complete mess. I reverted all your edits for now. ArthurWeasley 00:04, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me
Hello, Elmo12456, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that recently there have been potentially unwanted edits made using this IP or account on the User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me page. Therefore, for the time being, your edits will be monitored closely to make sure that they are in accord with our policies and guidelines, and reverted if necessary. I just thought I should let you know. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 23:32, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Proornis
Thank you for adding an entry for Proornis on wikipedia. I have added a bit more info and correct some of your edits:
- try to use the Taxobox in a correct manner. In your case you added dromaesauridae as a family of archaeornithiformes and there was no mention of the genus and species.
- don't overcategorized your article. Proornis to my knowledge is considered a basal bird and do not really fit in the dinosaur or coelurosaur categories.
- add references whenever possible
- start an article by defining the subject. For instance: "Proornis" is an extinct genus of bird discovered in North Korea.
I hope you will be able to follow these guidelines when you will be creating a new article. If you need help, let me know. ArthurWeasley 01:24, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Zhyraornis, Incolornis, etc...
I checked your entry for Zhyraornis. There are some problems here too. This is an enantiornithes not a dromaesaur. Also, do not use the term "dinobird", it does not mean anything. You added a web reference (a good improvement), however this points to a site where there is absolutely no information about the subject. A reference should be either an article in a scientific journal which talks about the subject or an internet page which gives substantial information about it. I haven't done any edit this time to give you the opportunity to do the changes yourself. Happy editing! ArthurWeasley 01:42, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Valenticarbo
Valenticarbo is another example of article where you did not do your homework properly. It is neither a dinosaur nor a dinobird and it did not live in the Cretaceous with Uhtaraptor. This was a real bird living during the Pliocene and Pleistocene. The link you added leads to an empty page so it looks as if you were just guessing what Valenticarbo was. Please do not add information to wikipedia if you don't know anything about it! I guess somebody will have to double check all your entries. ArthurWeasley 20:02, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

It appears many of the edits you are making are still nonsensical. I am left with no option but to block this account.

- :( I needed to ask Elmo whether Gallunoides is a spelling error for Gallinuloides (which I strongly suppose it is, but I want to be sure before moving it)... Dysmorodrepanis 19:23, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gallunoides is separate
It think the Eocene bird and Gallunoides are different. I am doing search on the internet and it seems the Dinosauricon spells it Gallunoides. Gallunoides and Gallinuloides might be separate animals. But they might be the same thing because Gallunoides and Gallinuloides may sound the same only with the I,N, and the L. --408.965.879.065.765.216.519.296.848.4 01:06, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kuszholia
I am not changing Kuszholia but it think it is a enatiornithe bird related to Enatornis. I am not sure because it has some features of a bird.
[edit] Archaeopteryx
Kuszholia might be a relative of Archaeopteryx too.
