Elmer "Junior" Jueco

Elmer "Junior" Jueco is an amateur pool player from Anchorage, Alaska, considered to be one of the best pocket billiards players in Alaska today.[citation needed] Elmer is known by his nickname "Junior", as his father, an accomplished pool player from the Phillipines,[citation needed] is known as Elmer.

Junior Jueco is the 2006 & 2007 Alaska State Champion in 8-ball and 9-ball. Winning his first state title at the age of 18, Jueco holds a number of other local titles as well as a 7th-8th place finish in the 2006 BCA Amateur Nationals 8-Ball Championship.[citation needed]

In the recent 2007 Derby City Classic One-Pocket Event, Junior finished 13th-18th, defeating notable players such as Rob Saez and Rodolfo Luat with an eventual loss to Francisco Bustamante.[citation needed]
