Elmer Riddle

Elmer Riddle (July 31, 1914 - May 14, 1984) was a former professional baseball player. He was a pitcher over parts of ten seasons (1939-1949) with the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates. He was the National League ERA champion in 1941 with Cincinnati. For his career, he compiled a 65-52 record in 190 appearances, with a 3.40 ERA and 342 strikeouts.
He was born and later died in Columbus, Georgia at the age of 69.
