Elko New Market is a new city to be formed in January 2007 from Elko and New Market in Scott County, Minnesota. Voters approved the merger in March 2006 by a margin of 437-85[1].The estimated 2006 population of Elko New Market is 3,168[2], up from 804 in the 2000 census of the two cities.
