Elk Cove (Overboard)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elk Cove, Oregon is the fictional small-town Oregon Coast setting of the 1987 movie Overboard, which stars Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell.

The recognizable landmarks of the movie are around Astoria, Oregon including the Astoria-Megler Bridge. While some of the scenery was filmed in Oregon[1], the final scene showing the main characters swimming in the ocean would not have been filmed off the Oregon Coast: the low water temperature would cause hypothermia in minutes.[2] [3]
