Elizabeth Mitchell (born on March 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress who is currently known for her role as Dr. Juliet Burke, one of the main characters on ABC's hit TV series Lost.

Mitchell was born in Los Angeles and her family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1970. She has two younger sisters: Kristy, who is seven years younger; and Kate who is twelve years younger. Kate played a small role in ER. In 1991, she graduated from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She is married to actor Chris Soldevilla. They have a son, Christopher Jr, who was born on September 4, 2005.
