Elipsan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elipsan (an acronym for "Eurologic Internet Protocol Storage Area Network) was a computer hardware company based in Bristol in the United Kingdom. Elipsan was established as an independent entity in March 2003 through the spin-off of the IPSAN division of Eurologic Systems Group Ltd, when this company was purchased by Adaptec. Elipsan was established to deliver on the promise of self-healing, easy to use, flexible storage systems using standard IP and iSCSI based protocols. Elipsan focused on the management and usability of IPSAN.

Elipsan existed only briefly, being bought out by Adaptec after just nine months of existence in January 2004.
