Elias of Cortona

Elias of Cortona[1] was Minister General of the Friars Minor (Franciscans), b., it is said, at Bevilia near Assisi, c. 1180; d. at Cortona, 22 April, 1253.

Attribution to him of some alchemical manuscripts[2] is often questioned.
