Elias P. Seeley

Elias P. Seeley (November 10, 1791, Deerfield Township, New JerseyAugust 23, 1846) served as Governor of New Jersey in 1833. Seeley was named to serve as governor after Samuel L. Southard stepped down from office to take a seat in the United States Senate. Seeley served in the New Jersey Senate both before and after his term as Governor.

Seeley died on August 23, 1846, and was interred in Presbyterian Cemetery in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
