[edit] Size of Lords Park
According to http://www.elginpublicmuseum.org/lordspark.htm, Lord's Park is 409 acres.
- The main page of the Elgin Public Museum website says 109, which seems about right. Wachholder0 20:38, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Racial Makeup
Why does the racial makeup add up to much more than 100? It isn't made clear on the page and I don't think anyone wants to go through that 60 page pdf to find out.
- The US Census category for Hispanics includes both black and white people of Hispanic descent. Wachholder0 20:35, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Population
Can someone present a source showing Elgin's population exceeded 100,000 in 2005? The American Community Survey estimate for 2005 shows 93,412, which is likely incorrect. However, there shouldn't be unsubstantiated population information in the article (I'm referring to paragraph two).
- See [1]. The Census Bureau's 2003 estimate was 97,117. I don't think there is any information for this year or last year, but if the pop. grew 2.8% from 2003, it would be ~99,836 some time in 2006.
[edit] Brian Oldfield
Wasn't he from South Elgin (but an EHS grad)?
From what I understand he grew up in S Elgin but now lives in Elgin.
[2] Says he was born in Elgin. Likely, because the hospitals were here! BenBurch 07:37, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
