Elektrobit Group Plc (Helsinki Stock Exchange: EBG) is a Finnish company headquartered in Oulunsalo municipality, which is near the city of Oulu. Elektrobit is a versatile engineering company, which, in addition to its design services, develops, sells and markets its own technologies and products. Besides R&D services, Elektrobit’s product portfolio covers S60 3G smartphones, IP radio base station modules, in-car software, and testing, material handling and process automation equipment for the electronics industry and teleoperators. The company's strategy is to focus on high-growth businesses: 3G smartphone ODPM (Original Design with Partnered Manufaturing) products and reference designs, IP radio base station modules and automotive software.
Elektrobit’s goal is to become a world leading embedded software and hardware provider in selected areas in wireless and automotive environments. Elektrobit employs some 2,000 professionals in 13 countries. The net sales for the year 2005 totalled MEur 212.5. Elektrobit Group Plc. is listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
The company's customers include the telecommunications, automotive, defense and space, industrial automation, and well-being and medical industries. Elektrobit Group's business comprises three Business Segments: Wireless Communications Solutions, Automotive Software, Test and Automation.
