Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions (NHS)

The ETP (Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions) is a project within the National Programme for IT of the National Health Service in England to provide for the electronic transfer of medical prescriptions from doctor to pharmacist as opposed to the current paper-based method.
The ETP project has several pilots running and is due to be rolled out nationally in 2007.
