Electric water boiler
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An electric water boiler, electric water heater, or electric water urn is a consumer electronics small appliance used for boiling water and maintaining it at a constant temperature. It is typically used in households to provide hot water at all times for human drinking or for brewing tea. It is especially popular in East Asia.
An electric water boiler consists of an insulated vacuum flask of several liters with an unexposed heating element in the bottom. It typically boils water when initially added and then maintains it at a set temperature slightly below the boiling point. Some models offer multiple temperature settings. Other models are part of larger water systems that boil water and provide hot, cold, and lukewarm water. Water is dispensed in some models by an electric pump and others by pressing a large button that is manual and requires strength.
