The El Paso Pussycats were a post-hardcore punk group fronted by guitarist/singer Jim Ward with drums by Cedric Bixler-Zavala

When it became clear the bassist wasn't very serious about music Cedric and Jim founded a new band with close friends and fellow serious musicians called At the Drive-In. It is said that a 7 inch from 1993 in which Jim, Cedric, and company wore dresses ala In Bloom by Nirvana exists.
