El Modelo Mexico

El Modelo Mexico (Male Model Mexico) is a male beauty pageant in Mexico. It was first held in 1996, after the country received an invitation to participate in Mister World, where Mexico's Gabriel Soto placed second (first runner-up). Since the pageant holds the rights of sending the country's representative to Mister World, it is usually held every year the latter is also held. El Modelo Mexico is run by the Nuestra Belleza Mexico Organization. The current titleholder is Jorge Aceves of Guadalajara, Jalisco.
