The National Capitol Building or El Capitolio, in Havana, Cuba, houses the Cuban Academy of Sciences. It is styled and named after the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., the USA. The construction started in 1929. Before the Cuban Revolution of 1959 it was the seat of government.
