Ekaterina Polovnikova

Ekaterina Atalik (née Polovnikova b. November 14, 1982 in Russia) is a Woman Grandmaster of chess. She is currently ranked number 43 woman in the world by FIDE, the World Chess Federation. Her highest rating achieved is 2414.
On November 11, 2005 she married 41-year-old Grandmaster Suat Atalik from Turkey.
In April 2006 she became European Champion, winning the 7th European Women Chess Championship in Kuşadası (Turkey).
