As far as I know and are able to give evidence for, it was Eugène Augustin Lauste who actually designed the Eidoloscope. Lauste, french inventor especially of film sound devices later in London, England, worked with Edison under Dickson. Filmtechniker and 80.219.86.190 13:39, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
