Original text:

... in 1979 in the city of Safed , the spiritual center of the Jewish world. In the 16 th century Safed emerged as the city of Kabbalah. What is Kabbalah? It is the oldest, most influential wisdom in all of human history that reveals all the spiritual and physical laws that govern the cosmos. All the great scholars and Rabbi's who studied and taught the secrets of the Kabbalah lived in this great city. It is also the origin where Ehud Segev began his spiritual destiny.

Segev credits his parents for their love and belief in him. He recalls, "No matter what my parents always supported me." Early on they knew he had a gift of insight, he continues "When I was twelve, I took the entire shelf of books that dealt with mysticism and spiritualism from the library, and my mother had to sign a permission form since I was too young for this topic. The librarian may have thought I lost my mind but my mother was ever so supportive. I'll never forget that."

The first experience with mysticism came when a young Segev begged his parents to buy him Tarot cards, because he could see and feel a powerful energy from them. He started doing Tarot readings at age 12 for friends and neighbors. The cards were just a tool to connect to the universe's powers as Segev's intuition developed.

By age 13 everybody began to know of him but no one knew his real name. Because of his extraordinary abilities Segev became known as "The Mentalizer". His popularity in Israel grew particularly amongst the students in his class.

"I used to shock everybody. I knew the topics for the tests before the teacher would say one word." - He said.

Fascination with "The Mentalizer" continued and he was often asked to communicate with parallel universes. Hundred of séances were conducted and thousands of people's lives were touched by the amazing power Segev possesses. Following his first TV appearance at age 16, three years later "The Mentalizer" set out to perform the biggest séance in history for national broadcast. This feat was accompanied with controversy and skepticism. Religious leaders sought to ban the séance, which was supposed to channel slain Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

At 19 he continued to shock and amaze. In a newspaper article, "The Prophecy", Segev predicted who would win the race for the mayors' chair in a few cities in Israel .

The article was published 11 days before the election took place. With only a photo to reference Segev used his inner Kabbalistic energy to compose a profile on each candidate and foresee the winners. Segev was 100% right.

"The Mentalizer" phenomenon quickly spread and Segev knew he had a gift of insight and talent to share. He put together a performance and with "The Mentalizer Show" Segev was able to entertain and engage audiences throughout the world.

Today he is performing for and entertaining thousands of awe struck people leaving them mystified. Segev is now preparing for the world premiere of "The Mentalizer Kabbalah Show" opening September 2004 in New York City .

[edit] Speedy delet/self promotion

i am putting this up for speedy delete. full of self promotionnand no coroboration. Tiksustoo 23:30, 20 November 2005 (UTC) who are you guys that were so against this listing? this was not self-promotion in thst he was not the one that made it, I was the one that made this [but I am keeping this anonymous so as not to be bothered]. I was not involved with the altering of the magic/illusions page and I am certain he himself was not either, that should not have been there at this point but everything that this page held was true. He was reviewed welled by the publications in question and as far as I know has done work with the companies named, his big India tour last year was sponsored by the whiskey label and possibly some others. For this reason I am going to put back the original page which is just the bio on his site, and if you truly feel it is too 'good' I'd like you to explain your problem with that first...see his show before you complain, otherwise just deal... -anonymous, who unfortunately did not realize what you guys did until now
