Ehjeh Ascher Ehjeh (I Am Who I Am) is the title of Darkwave band Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows' first EP. It was released in 1995. Ehjeh Ascher Ehjeh was released as a companion to the previous album "Todeswunsch" - Sous le soleil de Saturne, containing a few tracks from "Todeswunsch" in altered forms alongside the new two-part song "Anima". A limited pressing of 3,000 CDs was initially available.

In 2005, Ehjeh Ascher Ehjeh was re-released alongside "Voyager" - The Jugglers of Jusa and Es reiten die Toten so schnell... for the first time as part of the rarities box set Like a Corpse standing in Desperation, due to very costly "collector's prices" for cheap copies of the recordings, which were being sold on eBay. In the liner notes of the box set, Anna-Varney explains that most of Ehjeh Ascher Ehjeh was created by removing backing tracks from the songs from "Todeswunsch".

The cover painting is a detail of "Saint Jerome" by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio.
