The EHC Biel (german) or HC Bienne (french) are a professional ice hockey team based in the billingual city of Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. They play in the 2nd Swiss Hockey League (NLB).
The EHC Biel-Bienne play their home games in the Nationalliga B (NLB) (Swiss Ice Hockey League) at the Eisstadion Biel, which opened in 1973, located in Biel-Bözingen. With room for 7'500 spectators, the Eisstadion Biel is one of the biggest ice hockey stadiums in Switzerland. In the next years a modern multi-functional ice hockey arena will been built.
A strong local rivalry exists with the SC Bern, the SC Langnau, the EHC Olten and the HC Ajoie. Games between these teams often attract sell-out crowds.
