If the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate article is in any way different from the General Directorate of State Security Service article, then the author certainly did not make the distinction clear. They both seem to be the same thing. StudierMalMarburg 21:02, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Egypt has the following Intelligence agencies: 1. The General Intelligence المخابرات العامة which reports directly to the President and responsible for the external intellingence activities. It equals the CIA. 2. The Military Intelligence Department, المخابرات الحربية which reports to the Minister of Defence. It equals the DIA 3. The State Security Investigation Department المباحث العامةwhich is responsible for the internal state security. This reports to the Minister of Interior and equals the FBI.This is wrongly translated as The Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate
