Egon Ranshofen-Wertheimer Award

The Egon Ranshofen-Wertheimer Award (ERWA) was founded by the Society for Contemporary History in Braunau am Inn in the beginning of 2007.
The journalist, political scientist and diplomat Egon Ranshofen-Wertheimer was born in Ranshofen in 1894. The Egon Ranshofen-Wertheimer Award was named after him and nominates exceptional Austrians, who stood up for Austria in foreign countries.
The first nomination takes place in the former Stift Ranshofen during the 16th Braunau Contemporary History Days on the 29th of September, 2007.
